Panel 1: The First CMC: Setting the Course for an Efficient Arbitration
The panel will address common procedural pitfalls at the first Case Management Conference, procedural decisions with the greatest impact on time and cost efficiency, bifurcation, early determination, procedural sequencing, and the role of parties and counsel in ensuring an effective CMC.

Panel 2: The Proactive Arbitrator: How Much Is Too Much?
The panel will focus on the appropriate degree of tribunal intervention, the line between active case management and prejudgment, early views by tribunals, due process concerns, user expectations regarding active case management, and the continuing relevance of civil law and common law traditions in international arbitration.
